Galveston

I have lots and lots of pictures today...be prepared :) My boyfriend and I went to Galveston today even though it was freezing and took some pictures in the wind (as you can see by pictures 3 and 4 below). Yesterday it was in the 80s today in the 40s, Texas weather is so wierd... We tried to make the best of it since originally wanted to take pictures together with my tripod but it was so windy that it kept falling over and I say NO NO to sand in my camera!

My Mom, boyftiend and I went Downtown last night. Its so pretty at Christmas time and the are building a new outdoor shopping complex which is going to be awesome. There is already a Forever 21, BCBG and a book store. I bought a new belt at F21 that looks very very simmilar to the studded one SJP wears through out the SATC movie. Im so excited about it... We went to the House of Blues here in town and then to Roc Bar, which was pretty bad ass. They had swings outside on the patio to sit in :)

Ah, Houston...home sweet home! I love our house here, alot of possibilities as far as photo locations go :) Oh and i will have to take a picture of my Moms closet... its kind of like fantasy land. These leopard shoes are hers, they are so high! And this closet that I am sitting in is where she keeps all her purses!

Here are some of my favs from my shoot with Nina at the end of September. I did the styling (all the clothes and jewelry are mine), hair and makeup and the photography of course. She was such a sweetheart and we had alot of fun! The fourth pcture i kinda cut off her hands I have gotten much critique for that, but it shows off my favorite sweater.

How is it that amidst all this talk of Rodarte and studs and those fabulouse Gucci boots that I would die for, I forgot that I had these fabulous ponyhair clogs?? They are old school, circa late 90s from my Mom but I took them out of the garage sale box a few years ago and forgot about them... not anymore though!! They are actuall kind of perfect for the winter too because they are heels but not open toed...



Anyhoot, here is the long awaited ASOS dress! I was really disapointed at first because I ordered it way too big and it looks like a garbage bag when its not belted and the belt that comes with it made me look preggo...so I was not a happy camper! Then today I had a genius idea to belt it with a plain brown belt and it looks alot better... too bad i cut off my feet and you cant see my pretty camel colored, round toe boots, oh well next time! I think this may be my Christmas outfit, what do you think?

This is a hair barrette I made out of feathers and swarowski crystals, it actually looks really cute with this dress!

It truly was frightful today... I got all dressed and ready to leave for my internship, when I find out the appointment I was supposed to go to got canceled becasue of the weather. So here I am all dressed up and nowhere to go...

Sushi, IKEA und ein Weihnachtsmarkt

So my bestie managed to get off work early today and we went to the Weihnachtsmarkt in Kassel for some chocolate covered strawberries, H&M, Zara, Sushi and IKEA! I love the huge pyramid that they have set up there, its so beautiful!

This was really good Sushi, I was a little aprehensive bcause I have never had it in Germany but it was awesome! The little conveyer belt is so cool...

Then we made a stop at IKEA and had to have an impromtu fotoshoot with all the great props!

I just ordered this from ASOS and I am super excited! This will be the perfect holiday outfit with some heels and black tights. Lets jus hope that it fits me the same way it fits the model! I think ASOS is so cool because you can see the way the outfit looks on the runway - how it moves if it bunches etc.

My outfit today was super unspectacular - a shirt from Target and my lucky jeans, topped with my Metropark leather jacket!

So I watched the Duchess today after I got home from school and Keira Knightly just blows my mind - she is so amazing in this role. She also pulls off a corset like not many can! What an amazing movie, not how I was expecting thats for sure...

I also braved the cold today to actually take some decent pictures of my outfit. It was pretty simple, except for the fur coat which is vintage and belongs to my Oma (I caught her trying to throw it away the other day, so now it belongs to me). I also added some pictures of my bracelets, which I wear just about every day and my name ring which I got at the Renaissance fair and dont take off anymore either...
